Gull Rock Trail

So today was me and Erin's day off. We baby sat for our boss Kelly for a few hours, took care of the animals, and then us and some other fellow bunkhouse buddies took off for Homer to hike the Gull Rock trail. It was a beautiful trail! We walked in the woods most of the time but you had a view of the Turnagin Arm the entire way. It was about ten miles round trip. My legs were starting to stiffen up at the end but it was totally worth it. Here are some pictures that I took. Tomorrow we are heading to Anchorage. Not doing anything to exciting. I will be getting groceries that is for sure.

  1. Nice trail! Looks like you're having a great time out there. II already miss seeing trees but grasslands are pretty in their own right. Take some pictures of the "drunken forest" if you see any!

  2. Haven't seen any drunken forests yet. I am ready to go back to Ohio and see all of the green trees and warmer weather. Do you have a blog? If not you should!

  3. Me too! So jealous of the weather in Ohio. It's been rainy and 50's for a while now. My blog is ecologyofappalachia.blogspot.com. Are you finished at Hocking?

  4. Yes, I am done at Hocking. I got accepted to Idaho University but it is really expensive. I am going out late summer to see if I like it and if I do, I may just move out there and work for a year so I can get in-state tuition.

  5. I was considering going there too. I heard of people moving out there for a year. The only problem is all the wildlife and plants are different there..I know I want to work east so I stuck around. You should check out Rio too. That was the cheapest option for me. They usually offer good scholarships and grants.
